His correspondence with Sigmund Freud in Why War? (1933) explored the psychological structures of conflict — a physicist trying to reason through humanity’s irrational impulses. 'My country is the world,' he said, 'and my religion is to do good.' His was not a detached genius, but one who believed understanding the universe required also caring for the people within it."

 Life in the United States and Legacy

Because of the political situation in Europe, Einstein moved to the United States in 1933 and joined the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey. He spent the rest of his life there, continuing his research and also speaking about peace and human rights. He became an icon not just of science, but of wisdom and kindness.
